THE FOUNDER EDITION

This inaugural issue begins with intention rather than authority.

It explores the tension between perception and reality—how marginalized identities are read, misread, and reshaped. These works do not resolve that tension; they move within it, tracing how imposed narratives are resisted, distorted, and reclaimed. Identity operates like a living language—fluid, expressive, and unwilling to be reduced for the sake of anyone’s clarity. Complexity and nuance; exposure and restraint, power and humility, all exist unapologetically in tandem.

There is refusal at the center of this issue: not a refusal of external interpretation, but of its authority to attribute meaning over those it speaks of, independent of context. As a publication, this platform inevitably invites framing from the outside, yet what is gathered here insists on being met on its own terms—not reduced to pre-existing narratives or assumptions. This publication reflects the experiences of the marginalized communities it embodies. This issue introduces a space wherein these voices will be honored, shared, and preserved. What emerges is not closure, but a starting point through the lens of the founder: a living network of collaborators and influences whose practices intersect in real time—where proximity shapes the work, and the work, in turn, reshapes that proximity.

This issue does not aim for completeness. It remains open—partial, evolving, and in motion. It signals the first drop in an inevitable pool of community-led stories.
