ABOUT

Founded by Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist Ashley Munro, Munreaux [mun-row] is a publication and media platform that serves as a conduit for archival documentation of our unique, creative footprint, and a journey towards intuitive diversity within the POC community.

We intend to honor, document, and amplify the imprint of this rich, creative community through an evolving archive of stories, process, and perspective—tracing the roots of our collective while making space for cultural memory, and future-facing expression. We’re interested in the quiet moments and the big ideas, the roots and the possibilities, as they shape POC identity.

Munreaux Studio exists as an extension of the publication: a creative consulting studio designed to support POC brands, businesses, and multi-hyphenate creatives. Sometimes you have a brand—sometimes you are the brand. But there are always stories, and we love stories. We vow to honor them and tell them with care. Through strategy, collaboration, and craft, the studio offers the tools and guidance needed to build, refine, and sustain creative endeavors into something real—because our creative futures deserve the same care as our stories.

“Mun” translates to various meanings from around the world such as “shall, will, or to intend”, “gift or public service”, and “gate”. “Reaux” translates to “realistic” or “absolute and purposeful existence”.

Munreaux intends to be a gate for an absolute and purposeful creative existence”.
